FINAL MEETING OF THE YEAR ~ DECEMBER 15
So much happening at our busy December 15 meeting at the Yacht Club!
A new board of Directors for the July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 Rotary year was voted in by the membership!
$25,546 was awarded to the Friends of the Children's Justice Center of East Hawaii, the Hilo Medical Center Foundation and the 'Ohana Wa'a Laulima. All moneys were part of the net profit from the 2023 Hilo Brewfest held in July of 2023.
A truck full of new toys was collected from the members... going to the Salvation Army's Annual Toy Drive.
A nice selection of Teddy Bears was also gathered for the "Friends" to distribute to Police cars. The goal is one Teddy Bear for each active Police car so that officers would have a bear ready to hand to a child who is being removed from a toxic home environment or may be suffering from an injury due to an accident.
