Help Us End Polio World Wide!

In 1988, Rotary International started a campaign to eliminate Polio. At that time there were over 350,000 cases every year in the world.  As of RIGHT NOW, there are only 11 cases worldwide!  But that isn’t good enough... ZERO is the magic number... and you can help:

OUT AND ABOUT IN OCTOBER!

September 2 ~ Wouldn’t you want a clean Park
for the Queen’s Birthday?
Rotary members turn out with rakes and brooms to get the Queen Lili’uokalani Gardens all “spiffed” up for the upcoming Birthday Celebration!

September 10 ~ Rotary International has challenged Rotary Clubs to plant a tree for every member!
Getting a good start on planting over 90 trees (that’s our membership... and that’s a lot of trees!) are club members planting Ulu trees.

September 16 ~ Walk to End Alzheimers
Rotary member Mike Meyer snapped this selfie at the Walk on this beautiful Saturday at the Park!
Thanks, Mike for “Walking the Walk!”.

September 17 ~ Rotary District Meeting
It’s important to plan... especially with projects that are local and internationally.
Club members met with other Rotary Club members to “get the big picture”.

September 30 ~ Laupahoehoe and Waiakea High School Interact students and club members help clean up areas in Queen
Lili’uokalani Gardens, Coconut Island and the nearby fishing areas.
This beach clean up was part of the International project “Get the Drift and Bag It”.
