Join us on Wednesday September 20th and support 'OHANA WA'A LAULIMA!
The Rotary Four-Way Test refers to building better friendships through respect, trust, reciprocity, shared experience, and mutual enjoyment of each other’s company. Bring a friend and enjoy a fun a night of Socializing with Purpose!
ʻOhana Waʻa Laulima was formed to give individuals with disabilities equal opportunity to learn and experience the sport and tradition of paddling. The mission is to give people of all abilities a connection to the ocean and Hawaiian culture by providing a safe environment where they can be on the water and learn about the ocean and what it can provide.
In 2022, Rotary Club of Hilo’s Social Squad donated over $3000 to organizations doing good work in our local community. The mission of the Social Squad is socializing with purpose by providing impactful support & awareness to local causes, organizations, and projects.
**There will be no Walk ’n Talk this month**
Come out for a fun night at Temple Bar on Wednesday September 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A donation of $20 per person will be collected at the door to directly support the great work of 'OHANA WA'A LAULIMA. |

Aloha Fellow Rotarians,
Hawaii Rotary has been chosen as the Community Parade Marshal for the upcoming Hawai'i Island Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 4th, at 10:00 a.m. The parade celebrates community service and honors the service and sacrifice of our veterans. We are inviting all Big Island clubs to participate in this exciting event.
Our club president, Jeremiah Leonard, has generously offered his 12' trailer to be used as a float, and we also welcome walkers to carry their club's banners. Line-up begins at Wailoa State Park at 8:00 a.m., and decorating can be done. For more details, see the attached flyer or email me.
We encourage all Rotarians to register and attend to show their Rotary pride and support for our veterans and Hawaii Rotary as Community Parade Marshal. Let's have a great turnout of Rotarians wearing their Rotary shirts and holding their banners high.
In the greatest of support,
Beverly
