The mission of the Rotary Club of Hilo Social Squad is socializing with purpose by providing impactful support & awareness to local causes, organizations, and projects.  This month we'll be supporting our friends at The YWCA of Hawaii Island!

A donation of $20 per person will be collected at the door to directly support the great of The YWCA of Hawaii Island.

Every year our club has a Rotary Booth at Brewfest.  At the booth, Rotarians share their excitement about Rotary and who we are, what we do.  Any interested fill out a contact sheet and we invite them to a follow up event.  This is a Membership Mixer.  Its intention is to invite potential members to socialize and have them get to know Rotarians on a casual, relaxed setting.  Rotarians and spouses are asked to pay $20 to attend - potential members are free.  

Please attend and support our club and BRING A POTENTIAL MEMBER! Perfect opportunity!  It's also a great time to just have conversations (we are so busy at regular meetings) and get to know one another.

RC Hilo's newest satellite club - Service Members, Veterans & Families, & First Responders (SMVF) is having an induction of their charter members on Wednesday, August 28, 12-1:30 p.m. at Rotary Park.  We will be honoring and welcoming our newest members with a pot luck luncheon. 

We never have enough time to talk story at meetings!  We hear that all the time!  The solution?  

MiNI MIXERS!!!!  Join host Steve Pavao on Thursday, August 29, 5 - 7:00 p.m. at Ola Brew.  A great way to get to know your fellow Rotarians a little better in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.  An easy way to invite a guest or potential Rotarian to introduce them to our club with no pressure.  Bring your spouse as well!  Sometimes it's the only way we get to meet the spouses.  lol.  Everyone pays for their own meal/drinks.  Easy peasy!

In Pahala, on the main street below the shopping center by the empty lot as we unite to combat veterans suicide & Hilo across the King Kamehameha statue on Bayfront Hwy.

This in-person sign waving event aims to raise awareness and provide support to those who have served our country. Together, we can make a difference. Let's stand up against this critical issue and create a community that supports our heroes. Don't miss out on this opportunity to show your solidarity and contribute to a cause that truly matters. It will be a funfilled morning starting at 7:30 am,  Come early to find the right size and color shoe to match your outfit.

Our Satellite SMVF & First Responders Club is partnering up with the American Legion Post 3 to spread some holiday cheer to the residents of the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home.

We meet all meet up at 9:15AM to go over songs 🎵 and formation.  Starts at 9:45AM.

We meet at Cafe Boba down the street afterwards for fellowship and team planning/strategies.
