Our sister club from Japan, Hiroshima South, arrived on Thursday, August 15 for a brief two day visit.  The group consisted of 16 adults and nine students.  A welcome Steak Fry was held at Wailoa State Park on the evening of their arrival.  On Friday some of the the adults were treated to golf in Volcano and others did a short tour of Hilo and Volcano Nat'l Park.  On Friday evening the adults attended a farewell pot luck at the home of Helene and Harvey Tajiri. They departed for Kona on Saturday morning.

The students were hosted for four night in the homes of Rotarians and friends of the club.  Their activities included a visit to Imiloa Astronomy Center, Mauna Kea summit tour, Waiakea High School visit, Bon Dance and canoe paddling with the University of Hawaii.
