Go Cook ʻUm — Sharing Homemade Meals and Aloha
Community Service | Food, Fellowship & Community Care
A homemade meal. A helping hand. A little aloha shared every week.
Sometimes, making a difference begins with something as simple as preparing a good meal for someone else.
Through Go Cook ʻUm, members of the Rotary Club of Hilo come together each week to prepare homemade lunches for residents of Hawaiʻi Island Home for Recovery (HIHR).
It's a hands-on community service program that brings Rotarians together in the kitchen, combining the joy of cooking with the satisfaction of helping our neighbors.
More than simply preparing food, Go Cook ʻUm reflects something at the heart of Rotary: sharing our time, talents, and aloha to make life a little better for others.
